INTRODUCTION TO DIGITAL TOOLS FOR A NEW BUSINESS
This half day practical course will introduce you to digital tools and services that you can use when setting up a new business. We will look at the suite of free Google services like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Docs (their version of Microsoft Office) and show you how to use them for business.

Through this course you will get an introduction to using the web and social media, particularly if you want to get attention for your business idea and how these tools can help to generate leads and sales.
Topics Covered include the following:
Overview of free digital tools: GMail, Google Calendar, Google Docs. Researching business ideas and seeing what interest there is online for them. The value of websites and web marketing is outlined and how to set up a free webpage. An overview of social media & privacy and how it can help a business is also discussed.

ABOUT THE TRAINER
Damien Mulley
Damien has run his own consultancy and training company for the past 7 years and has a diverse client list.
Damien has given digital training and consultancy to Enterprise Ireland, IDA, Bord Gáis Energy, Cisco, Tesco, Diageo and the Irish Examiner. He speaks at conferences and events on digital issues and is a recognised expert in this area. Damien has also written for the Irish Times, the Daily Mail, the Sun, Sunday Business Post and has appeared on Prime Time, Questions and Answers and TV3 news to speak about technology and telecoms.
He has lectured in UCC, UCD, Smurfit, CIT, and NUI Galway amongst other universities and colleges on digital.
