Who do South West Gnó Skillnet support?
SWG Skillnet supports employers and employees in the Republic of Ireland.
Do I need to be a member to avail of funding ?
Yes, to gain part-funding, your company or employer must be a member of the network. This includes the self-employed and sole traders.
How much is membership?
Membership of the SWG Skillnet network is FREE.

What does South West Gnó Skillnet do?
Skillnet offers enterprise-led training and networking opportunities. We offer training that is part-funded in the skills that you need. We listen to our industry steering group and our members’, we then develop, part-fund and coordinate training programs that match these needs.
What is a Steering Group?
SWG Skillnet is guided by a steering group of industry professionals who are representatives from across a broad spectrum of sectors.
Who carries out the training?
We facilitate and coordinate the training that is required, offering the best quality training for our members. SWG Skillnet only work with the best and most relevant trainers to deliver the highest quality training courses and events.
Where does the training take place?
Depending on requirements, the training can take place in-house, online, or in a suitable selected training venue.

How are courses selected to be run?
Each member company is contacted with regard to their individual training needs. This process is also supplemented by requests as the year progresses and companies gain a clearer picture of their training requirements. Companies are free to contact the network manager at any time with course specific requests or modified content on any advertised courses. Where possible these will be accommodated. The network operates on a first-come first-served basis.
Content, duration and dates can be modified to suit the requirements of participants.
Do I need to have a chosen vendor and content to make a request? ?
No—let us know what your business requirement is and the network manager can source a vendor and content to suit.
Who funds SWG Skillnet?
SWG Skillnet is co-funded by Skillnet Ireland and member companies. Skillnet Ireland is funded from the National Training Fund and the European Union through the Department of Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science.
