Programme Aim:
This programme aims to equip learners with the critical skills, knowledge and attitudes to the deliver and evaluate highly participatory, learner centred and varied training programmes to groups and individuals in accordance with international best practice.
Objectives:
At the end of the programme learners will be able to:
Understand different learning styles and prepare accordingly
List key fundamental differences between education and training, teachers and trainers, learning and development, pedagogy and andragogy and clarify what excellent trainers do really well
Review and assess experiential learning and highly participatory training techniques.
Deliver facilitated group training sessions &/or training on a 1:2:1 basis.
Work effectively with a range of learner groups and personalities.
Deliver and evaluate a training programme effectively.
Assess their ‘comfort zone’ when delivering training and the impact it has on learners.

Delivery:
The programme is delivered in a highly participatory manner applying the 80:20 Rule, whereby, the trainer aims to achieve 80% of the content from the participants and deliver the further 20% content omitted. This is a rule of thumb and varies dramatically. A range of interactive tools are employed to ensure focus, action orientation and balanced participation. The programme is delivered in a light-hearted manner and focuses on relevant skills, knowledge and attitudes that deliver results.
